Who we are
BSTKNIVES LLC ("BST," "we," "us") operates bstknives.com and sells through TikTok Shop and TikTok LIVE, Whatnot, Instagram and direct invoice. Mail: BSTKNIVES LLC, P.O. Box 1223, Kaneohe, HI 96744. Email: justin@bstknives.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the contact and order information you give us on our sales channels.
Information we collect
Directly from you: name, email address, mobile number (if you give one), shipping and billing address, order and bid history, sizing or preference answers, engraving text, messages you send us, and your confirmation that you are 18 or older. Automatically: IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring links, and session activity such as clicks and time on page. From others: order, payment and fulfillment data from our payment processors, from TikTok and Whatnot for sales made there, and delivery status from carriers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not sell to minors.
Why we use it
To take and fulfill orders, verify age and identity, arrange adult-signature delivery, process payments and refunds, run auctions and live shows, answer support messages, prevent fraud and chargeback abuse, keep records required by tax and business law, understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and — where you have opted in — send marketing email and text messages about drops, restocks and live shows. Our legal bases where GDPR-style rules apply are contract performance (orders), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, site analytics, business records), consent (marketing email and SMS, non-essential cookies) and legal obligation (tax, age restrictions).
Who we share it with
Service providers who work on our behalf under contract: payment processors, our website and database hosting provider, our email delivery provider, shipping carriers, and the sales platforms we list on (TikTok, Whatnot). Also to professional advisors, and to law enforcement or regulators when the law requires it or to protect people from harm. If the business is sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.
How long we keep it
Order, payment and tax records: seven years, as US business records rules expect. Age-verification and delivery-signature records: as long as the order record. Marketing list entries: until you unsubscribe, and then a suppression record so we do not email you again. Site analytics: up to 24 months in identifiable form. Support messages: three years. We delete or de-identify sooner on a valid request where no legal retention duty applies.
Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live you may have the right to know what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, limit certain uses, opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do neither), and not be discriminated against for asking. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states, and the UK/EU GDPR, give closely similar rights. Email justin@bstknives.com with the subject "Privacy request" or write to the P.O. Box above. We respond within 45 days (one month for GDPR requests) and may need to confirm your identity against your order records first. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our decision, and EU/UK residents may complain to their local data protection authority.
Marketing email and text messages
Joining the drop list means you consent to marketing email from BSTKNIVES LLC. If you give a mobile number you consent to recurring automated marketing texts. Consent to texts is never a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop, HELP for help. Unsubscribe from email using the link in any email. Cookies, analytics and tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep your cart, remember your 18+ confirmation, and keep you signed in where applicable, plus first-party analytics to count visits and see which pages work. Details, and how to refuse non-essential storage, are on our Cookie Notice page. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
Security and international transfers
We use encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable processors, and we do not store full card numbers — our payment processors handle card data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our providers are based in the United States, so information you send us is processed there; where we receive data from the EU/UK we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism through those providers.
